I’m Alex Glassey, the founder and Managing Director of The Circular Leader. This is my professional website – it’s the culmination of everything I know about leadership in organisations.
Because this is an About page you’d expect it to be about me and my organisation but, really, it’s about you.
If you’re reading this, you’re most likely an executive or manager. You want your team to perform at its full potential.
Depending on what your team does, this could mean a lot of things.
If you lead a sales team, you want them rockin’ their numbers, month in and month out.
You want your support team to create amazingly happy customers. You want your development team to be outstandingly creative and innovative.
But more than just productivity, you want your people to feel valued and trusted and respected.
Because you know this is how you can make the biggest impact. This is how to leave the world better than you found it…one team at a time.
My mission in life is to help you do that.
Most of the people I work with feel like you do. They love leading a team because it allows them to accomplish so much.
They have big aspirations and ambitious plans.
Trouble is, they either don’t have enough leadership training or—even worse—they were taught out-of-date leadership skills that aren’t as effective as they should be.
Tragic because leadership is the key that unlocks their team’s full potential.
You can have the best plans and work for a great organisation and have amazing people…but if you don’t know how to lead them so they feel trusted and empowered and safe, you’re done.
To me, that’s the saddest thing in life. To have a great plan. To have wonderful people. But not have matching leadership skills to fully realise the opportunities.
And then never make the impact you were born to make.
BUT…
When you know how to lead your team well…when you know how to support individuals in just the right way…
When you know how to strengthen your team’s dynamics…
And when you know how to build a team’s self-reinforcing accountability…
Then you have a team that is unstoppable. That eagerly embraces challenges. And that works with you to reach your aspirations.
Every time I help a client build an unstoppable team, we pause and share a moment of deep satisfaction. We’ve moved the world a wee bit further in the right direction. And what could be better than that?
